MY BOAT WAS SINKING!!
While boating off of Ft. Lauderdale Florida, unexpected high seas
developed and my boat started taking on water. When I bought my boat, I
ordered it with a VHF transceiver and a Shakespearee 21' Antenna. As a spare, just for precautions, I added another VHF radio and I bought your 8'
6 db VHF antenna, and I thank God I did. With unexpected trouble hitting
me, I went to my first radio and keyed down ... nothing but static! In a panic,
I turned on the spare connected to your antenna and presto! I was able to
contact another boat 25 miles away, clear as a bell. When I got back to
port, I checked the radio and the antenna. It turns out that the Shakespearee antenna was
bad. I scrapped that piece of junk and now have your 21' VHF 10
db antenna. I don't want to take another chance. Thanks! - J.D.
CELLULAR ANTENNA GETS 50 MILES!
I was tired of paying the roaming charges and the long distance charges in
Bimini. So, I decided to buy your 8' cellular antenna. Soon after that, we sailed from Miami
to Bimini. While in Bimini, we tried our cell phone that we connected to
your antenna. No roaming! I dialed "411" to see if I could get the Bimini
operator. Instead, I got the AT&T operator. I asked for a Bimini number, and was
advised by AT&T that they would connect me to the long distance operator for the
Bahamas. I told her I was in the Bahamas! She said that I was calling in
the Miami area! My little phone with your antenna connected 45 miles
across the ocean! Great antenna. I'm telling my friends about
it. - H.S.
